“Falling in love cannot be chosen. God chooses. We are mere recipients. Disappointment is a consequence. Happiness is a bonus”. That was the initial impression I had when I first met her.
Meeting her on LinkedIn an unconventional platform for romance. Left a lasting impression. Our Connection blossomed there.
Reflecting on a year marked by personal trials, her presence became a beacon of hope in a sea of loss. Through her, my dormant ambitions found renewal. her words about “Action over Words,” which I’ve always applied to fight for her even until now.
Those words made me realize that life isn’t just about rhetoric; it’s also about tangible actions. Admiration grew into love, despite our shared past traumas and differences.
Abidin and Ara began their relationship as colleagues, study together and collaborated on various project in the same academy environment. They knew each other by working on the same class projects and built their rapport for one another without knowing what the future held for them.
by taking on an intense – yet very fulfilling – project to persue marriage with a close timeline while ensuring they are a good fit to one another. At some point, Abidin and Ara’s connection transitioned from a purely professional relationship to a romantic one. Building from their class projects to their project of a lifetime.
Thus start the project of their life, starting from mid 2022 they embarked on a journey to know each other better but now in the context of aiming to marry.
After carefully considering their compatibility, values, and long-term compatibility, they made the decision to commit to each other through marriage.

25 March ‘22 | The First Meet
After the Zoom class meeting, Abidin and Ara connected to each other on LinkedIn, marking the beginning of their digital bond. A short LinkedIn conversation led to Abidin and Ara casually collaborating on a college task. A start for a relationship they both were not ready for.
01 Apr ‘22 | Project Start
Before the dating come, they spent a lot of time discussing a lot of things from life, career, to relationship aspirations.
09 Jun ‘22 | 1st Date
Abidin visited to Depok to get permission from Ara’s mother. Then Abidin visited Ara in Bandung. They both had quality time together at Lembang Zoo and the next day Abidin popped the question to Ara and decided to start their relationship together. Ara officially make it legal on 14 Jun ’24
16 Dec ‘23 | The Engagement
Abidin’s and Ara’s families met, and they are now officially engaged on Ara’s Birthday.
4 May ‘24 | The Wedding
The big day is finally here from them to finally tie the knot!
